FedEx CEO Raj Subramaniam gets Pravasi Bharatiya Samman

Subramaniam (55) was presented with the award by India’s Ambassador to the US Taranjit Singh Sandhu at a ceremony held at the India House in Washington on Saturday. Subramaniam could not attend the Pravasi Bharatiya Sammelan held in India earlier this year.
Washington. Raj Subramaniam, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of global transport company FedEx, has been conferred with the prestigious Pravasi Bharatiya Samman. It is the highest honor given by the Government of India to a person of Indian origin or Indian origin living abroad. Subramaniam (55) was presented with the award by India’s Ambassador to the US Taranjit Singh Sandhu at a ceremony held at the India House in Washington on Saturday. Subramaniam could not attend the Pravasi Bharatiya Sammelan held in India earlier this year.
Darshan Singh Dhaliwal, recipient of the Pravasi Bhartiya Samman, was also present on the occasion. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and US Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo along with senior officials of the President Joe Biden administration and several Indian-Americans were also present at the event. Subramanian is the chairman and CEO of FedEx, one of the world’s largest transportation companies. His international leadership experience and deep business insight have contributed immensely to FedEx’s success.
