Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has given this statement while addressing the Kautilya Economic Conclave organized in Delhi. He said that these institutions are proving to be less effective in performing the tasks for which they were created. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Friday said the government is conscious of managing the fiscal deficit and will ensure that the burden of debt repayment does not fall on the next generation. Addressing the ‘Kautilya Economic Conference’ 2023, Sitharaman said that the government is considering ways to reduce the overall debt.
He said, “We are conscious of the issues related to the country’s macroeconomic stability that we face in fiscal and fiscal management…so every decision we take today is conscious of the impact it will have on the next generation.” But what burden will it bring?

Sitharaman said, “We are conscious of the debt of the Government of India. It is not that high compared to many others but still we are being cautious and looking at the work being done in different parts of the world.
