Fire breaks out in California’s largest Gurudwara, no casualties

A fire broke out at the site of the largest Sikh Gurdwara in the US state of California after several propane tanks exploded and a room was damaged by the flames. The officers provided this information.
Officials said that religious classes were held in the room which was damaged. No injuries were reported in the incident that occurred Monday at Gurdwara Sacramento Sikh Society in the Sacramento area.
Metro Fire Battalion Chief Parker Wilburn said emergency crews were called about 3:30 p.m. He said that sheriff’s deputies evacuated the devotees from there and no one was reported injured.
He said that at least two vehicles were burnt in this incident. The fire burned the building’s attic, destroying a structure and causing a partial roof collapse, The Sacramento Bee newspaper reported.
Wilburn said the fire caused six large propane tanks to explode. “At this point, we are not concluding that there is anything suspicious,” Wilburn said, adding that the flames were contained to the building where it started. Wilburn said the cause of the fire is unknown and it is not yet known where the fire started.
