Islamabad, 22 January (HIST). The pilot and three passengers of a Russian private plane that crashed in a remote rural area of Afghanistan have been found alive. Taliban gave this information on Sunday. Officials said there were a total of six people on board the plane. The accident occurred on Saturday in a mountainous area of Badakhshan province.

A rescue team was dispatched to the accident site. Zebak is located about 250 kilometers north-east of Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan. It is a rural and mountainous area.
The Taliban’s Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation issued an online statement saying the plane was found near Aruz Koh mountain in the province’s Kuf Ab district. The pilot was located by a search team from the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, the statement said. According to the pilot, he and three other people are alive. The remaining people are being searched.
In Moscow, Russian civil aviation officials said a Dassault Falcon 10 went missing. Officials said there were four crew members and two passengers on board the plane. He said that contact with the aircraft with Russian registration was lost and it disappeared from the radar screen. Russian officials said the plane was affiliated with Athletic Group LLC and a private individual.
The Moroccan-registered Dassault Falcon (DF-10) aircraft was being operated as an air ambulance. It was en route to Moscow from Utapao Airport in Thailand. According to a statement issued by Abdul Wahid Rayan, spokesman for the Taliban’s Ministry of Information and Culture, the plane belonged to a Moroccan company. Ryan said the accident occurred due to the plane’s engine shutting down.
