Fresh allegations against Boris Johnson of breaching Covid rules emerge

New allegations of violation of the lockdown implemented for the prevention of Kovid-19 against former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson have come to the fore, for which a complaint has been lodged with the police. Johnson had to resign from the post of British Prime Minister in July last year after allegations of organizing a party at 10 Downing Street (the residence of the British Prime Minister) in violation of the rules related to the lockdown. The former prime minister has dismissed the fresh allegations against him, terming them as ‘bizarre and unacceptable’.

He said that these allegations are politically motivated and no one had visited the Prime Minister’s Office in violation of the rules during the Corona period. It is being told that Britain’s Cabinet Office has sent some entries of visitor’s diary to the police regarding the visits of some people who reached the Prime Minister’s residence to meet Johnson during the lockdown. According to ‘The Times’, a complaint has been lodged against Johnson at Thames Valley Police Station, as some entries in his visitor’s diary indicate that when people are allowed to gather in closed places under the lockdown implemented to prevent the corona virus. And there was a ban on partying, then some family and friends had reached the Prime Minister’s residence to meet him (Boris).

The Cabinet Office said, “The above material has been made available to the concerned authorities in accordance with the obligations specified in the Civil Services Code and it is now their responsibility to investigate the allegations.” According to the Cabinet Office, the allegations came to light when material was being collected to provide evidence to the Covid investigation team. The British government has set up an independent Covid inquiry team to manage the pandemic and assess its impact.
