The project, spread over 50 acres at Mahoba near Gwalior, was inaugurated on World Environment Day, the company said in a statement on Monday. This plant will generate 2.25 crore units of electricity annually.

New Delhi. Gaur Group, a real estate company, has set up a 15 MW solar power project near Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh with an investment of Rs 80 crore. The project, spread over 50 acres at Mahoba near Gwalior, was inaugurated on World Environment Day, the company said in a statement on Monday. This plant will generate 2.25 crore units of electricity annually. Its capacity can be increased considering the future needs. The company said the electricity generated from this solar project will be integrated into the central grid and used for the group’s projects.

These include Gaur City Mall, Gaur Central Mall, The Gaur Sarovar Portico and Gaur City Centre. Manoj Gaur, Chairman and Managing Director of Gaur Group said, “We are delighted to complete the 15 MW Mahoba Solar Power Project and dedicate it to the nation on World Environment Day. The plant has a minimum useful life of 26 years.” The Gaur Group is a leading real estate player in the Delhi-NCR region. It has developed approximately 65,000 housing units spread over 60 million square feet.
