New Delhi. Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani has shared some details related to its plan to spend Rs 7 lakh crore as capital expenditure over the next 10 years. This investment will further strengthen the Group’s position in infrastructure development. Adani has shared information about its green initiatives as part of the group’s investment plans on social media platform X. Adani Energy Solutions told the stock market that the group plans to invest over Rs 7 lakh crore over the next 10 years to strengthen its position as the largest infrastructure developer in India.
The group’s flagship company Adani Enterprises Limited is expanding business to mining, airports, defense and aeronautics, solar manufacturing, roads, metro and rail, data centers and resource management. The group’s port business is paying special attention to the green drive. We will set a national benchmark as the only carbon-neutral port operator in the country by the year 2025 and APSEZ will achieve the target of net-zero emissions by the year 2040,” Adani wrote on X. Our climate-friendly changes include electrifying all cranes, converting all diesel-based vehicles to battery-based vehicles, he wrote. Apart from this, internal renewable capacity of 1000 MW will also be established.
Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (APSEZ) is the country’s largest port operator. It has ports on both the east and west coasts of the country. Our dedication to environmental protection is also reflected in our expanded mangrove plantations, he said. It is to be expanded to an area of 5000 hectares by the financial year 2024-25. This is another step towards a green future. It is also proof of our commitment to climate management. Sharing pictures of massive construction work in Gujarat’s Kutch desert, Adani said his group is building the world’s largest green energy park.
He said that this huge project spread over 726 square kilometers of this desert is visible even from space. We will produce 30 gigawatts of electricity to power more than two crore homes. Apart from this, a project is also being constructed in Mundra. He said the group’s urban gas firm Adani Total Gas Limited is expanding on a large scale. Along with this, Adani said that Adani Total Gas Limited, which supplies gas in urban areas, is expanding its reach in the direction of CNG and piped natural gas, compressed biogas and e-mobility.
