In the Chinese National Two Sessions this year, “Implementing Global Development Initiatives” was again written in the “Government Work Report”. China has always been a contributor to global development and is highly recognized by the international community. In the view of Kenilwe Sharon Talhako, Manager, Ministry of Entrepreneurship, Republic of Botswana, the “Global Development Initiative” presented by China is a very good initiative, very progressive and far-sighted. The initiative is a mechanism for cooperation and partnership in terms of trade promotion, equitable distribution of medicines, poverty alleviation etc. This is very inspiring, Botswana can learn some policies from China.
Talhako said China’s achievements are impressive, especially China has met the relevant poverty reduction targets of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development ahead of schedule, lifting about 770 million rural people out of poverty . As the world’s largest developing country, China’s accumulated experience in poverty alleviation provides useful inspiration for poverty alleviation in other regions of the world.
