According to the latest data from the World Resources Institute’s Aqueduct Water Risk Atlas, water scarcity is a cost to be faced in various places around the world. As many as 25 countries around the world, that is, one-fourth of the world’s population, are currently drinking water every year. Globally, approximately 4 billion people suffer from water scarcity for at least one month each year. This figure can increase up to 60 percent by 2050.
Bahrain, Cyprus, Kuwait, Lebanon….
Reports have appeared that 25 nations comprising one-fourth of the world’s population face the problem of water scarcity every year. Among them, the maximum results are felt in Bahrain, Cyprus, Kuwait, Lebanon and Oman. This state can become a victim of drought in a short period of time due to water scarcity. The regions experiencing the highest water scarcity are mainly in the Middle East and North Africa, in which as many as 83 percent of the population has to face the problem of extremely high water scarcity. Additionally, in South Asia, a significant 74 percent of the population faces precarious conditions.
