Agreement can be reached any time after 23

January 23 is a public holiday in the state on the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. Therefore government offices will remain closed. After January 23, as soon as we get time from Labor Commissioner Sanjeev Kumar Besra, an agreement will be signed between Tata Motors management and the union on various points including permanentization of employees, continuation of ward registration.

The tripartite agreement was signed for the first time in 1972

Tata Motors Jamshedpur plant was established in the year 1945. Earlier its name was Telco. At the time of United Bihar, a tripartite agreement was reached in the year 1972 regarding the reinstatement of the children of Tata Motors employees. It was decided in the agreement that the company would train and employ employee sons every year. After this, the process of registration of children of employees started in the company.

Then in 2005-2006, the amendment was made under the chairmanship of the then Labor Commissioner Nidhi Khare. It was decided that through TMST bridge, the company management will employ 200 employee sons in the company every year. 2,600 temporary employees are to be made permanent in the Jamshedpur plant. A report regarding this has to be submitted to the Labor Department. After the order of the High Court, the Deputy Labor Commissioner had asked to give a planning (plan/package) for the permanentization of By Six within three months.

By six will not be permanent together

All 2,700 by-sixes will not be permanent at the Tata Motors Jamshedpur plant. The Jamshedpur plant currently has 5,600 permanent employees. With all By Six employees becoming permanent, the number will increase to 8,300. Due to this, the financial load in Jamshedpur plant will suddenly increase. It will be difficult to provide all the facilities to all the employees. In view of this, talks on the process of stabilization are in the final stage. It will be decided in the talks as to what ratio and in how many years the permanentization will be completed and the reinstatement of employee sons and daughters will also continue.
