New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said that the government is fully committed to sustainable development in the field of green energy. Modi was responding to a tweet by Union Heavy Industries Minister Mahendra Nath Pandey, in which he had said that electric vehicles would save 229 million liters of fuel as well as reduce 339 million kilograms of carbon dioxide under the FAME-II scheme. There has also been a decrease. The Prime Minister said, “Our government is fully committed to sustainable development in the field of green energy.”
Prime Minister Modi is going to address various parties through a webinar on various announcements made in the General Budget 2023-24. It started with a webinar on Green Growth on Thursday. The webinar on Green Growth will have six sessions, covering both energy and non-energy components of green growth. Green growth is one of the seven top priorities of the Union Budget 2023-24, which aims to usher in green industrial and economic transformation of the country, eco-friendly agriculture and sustainable energy. The Prime Minister will address 12 post-Budget webinars. These will be organized from February 23 to March 11.
