Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024: Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel said that his government has increased India’s gross domestic product (GDP).GDP) has set a target of contributing 10 percent in India and becoming a US $ 500 billion economy by 2026-27. Speaking before the 10th edition of Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, he said that currently only five percent of the country’s total population lives in Gujarat while it contributes 8.3 percent to the national GDP. The state’s share in India’s total merchandise exports was 33 percent last year. Prime Minister Narendra Modi (Narendra Modi) will inaugurate the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit here on Wednesday. Gujarat CM said that Gujarat’s future projects and investments (Dream City, GIFT City, Dholera SIR, Ahmedabad-Mumbai High Speed Rail) will be showcased in the summit. This will include new and emerging sectors like semiconductors, renewable energy, electric vehicles, green hydrogen, aerospace and defence, plug-and-play parks, artificial intelligence, smart greenfield cities etc. He said that apart from being a leader in sectors like textiles, chemicals and petrochemicals, gems and jewelery and ceramics, Gujarat has also emerged as a hub of the automotive sector. The state has projected itself as the economic powerhouse of the country.
