Hangzhou to host four consecutive World Badminton World Tour Finals from 2023 to 2026

According to reports, the World Badminton Federation confirmed on August 9 that Hangzhou city of China will host four consecutive World Badminton World Tour Finals from 2023 to 2026.
World Badminton Federation Secretary General Thomas Lund said Hangzhou has excellent sports infrastructure and rich experience in hosting international events, which makes it an ideal city to host the World Badminton Federation World Tour Finals.
Badminton is widely popular in Hangzhou and non-official competitions of all levels are held throughout the year. Hangzhou has produced many outstanding Chinese badminton players, including Fu Chun-ah, Song Yang, Wang Lin, etc. He has won 1 Olympic champion, 19 world champion and 10 Asian champion titles in major international events.
It is understood that the World Badminton World Tour Finals, as the highest level event in the Tour series, can be said to be the pinnacle of the world badminton world. Only the top 8 players in each individual event are eligible to participate. This year’s World Badminton Federation World Tour Finals will be held from December 13 to 17.
