Suppose you have to do hemoglobin test. You put a few drops of blood on a paper that already contains the reagent. Paper absorbs blood. Its color changes in a short time. If someone has more hemoglobin in the blood then the color of the blood will become blue green and if someone has anemia then the color of the blood will be light.
Professor Chakraborty said that in the case of blood sugar test, red brown color will appear on the paper when the content in the blood is high. Now we will need to convert this test into objective test. We can do this with the help of a smartphone. We have already kept the data of many tests. We use image analysis algorithms when the color of the paper is uploaded to the smartphone. It can be implemented through a mobile app.
