The manner in which cultural values ​​have been eroded in present-day India, due to which our traditions have also suffered a severe blow. All this was done because of the crooked mentality towards Indian culture. Today many people of India are not aware of the fact that what is Indian culture, what are our values? But the good thing is that to do any auspicious work, even today every section of the society takes the help of Indian calculus. Whether it is housewarming ceremony or marriage ceremony, we take the help of Indian Panchang. Similarly, our festivals are also based on natural and home constellations. Therefore it can be said that Varsha Pratipada is completely scientific and natural New Year.

It is said that the country which runs according to nature, nature protects it. Presently, the way nature’s angry form is visible in many parts of the world, many types of anomalies have emerged in front of human life. All this is happening because of the concept of western thought. The culture of India paves the way to make human life beautiful and happy. The country of India, rich in great and eternal traditions of the world, may have forgotten many things that tell its identity, but there are some things, whose form is visible even today, as it was of Digvijay Bharat. We may mention English dates in our auspicious works, but those dates have nothing to do with those auspicious works. We know that in all the festivals and auspicious works that are done in India, only Indian time calculation is given priority. Its meaning is clear that Indian astrology has the ability to reveal the merits and demerits of that work very well. This is not possible in any other calendar.

At present we may have become independent, but the black shadow of dependence is present on our head like a cover. In which we have tended to follow that path, which is not in harmony with our values. Now take the New Year itself. The new year celebrated on January 1 according to the English method does not seem new from anywhere. The entertainment done in its name is nothing but vulgarity. In the name of modernity, the elite class of the society is doing everything, which is not acceptable to the civilized and Indian society. The discrepancy is that these people of our society give long and wide lectures in the name of saving culture.

There is some or the other inspiration behind the festivals celebrated according to the Indian calendar. We know that the atmosphere of Falgun, the last month of Hindi, also indicates the end of the year, as well as the atmosphere becomes pleasant from the first day of the new year itself. How great must be our Rishi Muni, who developed such a calculus, which contains complete information about when what is to happen.

In the last two thousand years, many indigenous and foreign kings started many Samvats to satisfy their imperialist aspirations and to make this country politically dependent, but the cultural identity of the nation of India remained associated only with Vikrami Samvat. Due to the influence of English education and western culture, today even though the Christian era is prevailing everywhere and people are becoming ignorant about the time calculation of Indian dates and months, but the reality is that the country’s cultural festivals and Ram Birth anniversaries of great men like Krishna, Buddha, Mahavir, Guru Nanak etc. are still celebrated according to the Indian calendar, not according to the Christian era. Be it the auspicious time of marriage-shaving or the rituals of social works like Shraddha-Tarpan, all these are done according to the Indian Panchang method, not according to the dates of the Christian year. Even after this, a section of our society is not able to accept this truth. Because of this, we ourselves are defying social norms. Because of which its side effects are coming in front of us and many types of anomalies are also taking birth in the society, which are not acceptable according to Indian philosophy of life.

Auspicious time is required for auspicious work and the correct method to find out this auspicious time is contained only in the Indian calendar. The first day of the Indian New Year i.e. the beginning day of creation, the first day of the world’s ancient Samvat like Yugabd and Vikram Samvat, the coronation day of Shri Ram and Yudhishthir, the first day of Chaitra Navratri, the worship of Maa Durga, the founder of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, an ardent patriot Birthday of Dr. Keshavrao Hedgewar, Arya Samaj Foundation Day, Sant Jhulelal Jayanti. With so many features, our new year really inspires us to do something new. In fact it is the best day of the year. Indian New Year is considered to start from Chaitra Shukla Pratipada. According to Brahma Purana, Pitamah Brahma started the creation of the universe from this day, hence it is the first day of creation. Its time calculation is very ancient. 1 billion, 95 crore, 58 lakh, 85 thousand, 123 years have passed since the beginning of the creation. This calculation is made by astrology. Modern scientists are also telling the time of origin of the universe to be more than one billion years. Which gives proof of the eternal usefulness of Indian time calculation. According to Hindu scriptures, the beginning of planets, seasons, months and years is considered from this day according to mathematical and astronomical calculations.

Celebrating the beginning of the new year on the occasion of spring season in India is full of joy because in this season there is greenery all around and nature is newly decorated with new leaves and flowers. According to the Indian calendar, the date of Vasant Ritu and Chaitra Shukla Pratipada has also been the death anniversary of the creation process since ancient times. Vasantik Navratri, which comes in the spring, also always starts from this holy date. Vikramaditya had started the tradition of running his Nav Samvatsar Samvat from the date of Chaitra Shukla Pratipada keeping in mind all these different cultural traditions of India and since then the whole of India celebrates this date every year.

In such a situation, the fact to be considered is whether we want to stay connected with the roots or run after the West by becoming roots. Keep in mind that imitation is always imitation, it cannot be reality. Today, the increasing attraction towards glitter is taking us away from Indianness, but it is also a big truth that the citizens of all the countries of the world have started liking Indianness. When they can do this then it is a very direct way for Indian society.
