Islamabad : Pakistan’s Influencer Shayan Ali, who left Islam and adopted Sanatan Dharma, is in the news a lot these days. On Thursday, he surprised everyone by announcing his conversion. Some people are praising Pakistan-born Shayan Ali and some are openly criticizing him. But Shayan himself is refraining from speaking against any religion. In one of his latest tweets, he made it clear that ‘my job is to spread love, not hate’. Shayan said that if I hated other religions, I would not be a ‘true Sanatani’.

Shayan Ali wrote in one of his posts on Friday, ‘I have said it many times and now I am saying it again. My aim is to spread love not hate so don’t expect me to say anything bad against Islam, Christianity or any other religion. Because if I start hating other religions then I cannot call myself ‘Sanatani’. Shayan wrote, ‘Enough of hatred’.

‘Don’t get into a fight between right and wrong’

He wrote, ‘Let’s come together and instead of fighting about who is right and who is wrong, learn about each other’s beliefs.’ Shayan Ali, who has often criticized Pakistan, has become the target of fundamentalists by becoming a ‘Hindu’. However, despite leaving Islam, Shayan is refusing to speak against any religion, due to which many people are praising him.

In his Twitter bio, Shayan describes himself as Pakistani by birth and Indian by heart. He has claimed that Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI tried to kill him. Sharing the photo of Lord Vishnu, Shayan wrote, ‘ISI made every effort to kill me but they forgot who is protecting me.’ Shayan has termed his conversion as ‘homecoming’. He currently lives in the US and has spoken of traveling to India soon.
