A large number of Hindus came out on the road in Kashmore district of Sindh province of Pakistan. These Hindus protested strongly against the increasing incidents of kidnapping of people from the community. They said that dacoits operating in the area had abducted many Hindus. The protesting people demanded immediate release of all the people. Not only this, the protesting Hindus demanded the government of Sindh to provide them security. Most of the Hindus live in Sindh province. Their temples are often attacked. Hindus are also forcibly converted.
The protesters alleged that Hindu girls aged 12 to 13 were being abducted in broad daylight and forcibly converted to Islam. Later they are married to elderly Muslims. Banners were present in the hands of those involved in the demonstration. He said that the cases of forced conversion of Hindu girls and women are increasing continuously. The victims are not even getting justice.
According to a report by a human rights monitoring organization, 23 percent of the victims of forced conversions were girls under the age of 14. 36 percent of the girls were between 14 and 18 years old. The number of adults was only 12 percent. The age of 28 percent is not known at all. 65 percent cases of forced conversion were reported from Sindh province only.
