Hyderabad-based Biofactor, a manufacturer of bio-fertilizers and critical macro and micro nutrients, has taken another major advancement in research by strengthening its cutting-edge nutrition product, ‘Belome’, which can now help commercial and seasonal crops survive drought and other abiotic stress conditions. Shri L N Reddy Ji, Founder, Biofactor said that the latest research conducted across the country on the good results of Belome series products has shown that they have given excellent results even in drought and other abiotic conditions. He said that using MAMS technology in foliar nutrition provides 13 vital nutrients required by plants and crops.
Entry into international market –
Shri L N Reddy ji said that the state-of-the-art ‘Belome’ series products will be taken to the doorsteps of farmers across the world. These products can be used for all types of crops. Commercial crops grown in rainfed areas using Belome series give higher yields with good quality. Farmers can grow good crops at low cost by using Belom series even in drought conditions and normal weather. Research studies have shown that using Belom series has increased the yield by 20-30 percent. Belome series has induced systemic resistance in crops against various diseases and pests.
The research and development division of Biofactor has been approved by the Department of Scientific Industrial Research (DSIR) to carry out further research.
Used by more than one lakh farmers – Shri L N Reddy ji further informed that more than one lakh farmers across the country are already using ‘Belome’ series product with foliar nutrition technology. The company has conducted research on crops like paddy, maize, tomato, brinjal, marigold, chilli and cotton in different regions and seasons across the country.
Biofactor has signed an MoU with the Central Institute for Research on Cotton Technology (CIROT) of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) for the commercialization of Nano Zinc Suspension Production Technology. BioFactor was established in 2014, now it has presence in 16 states. Employed with 650 employees and over 3,500 strong dealer network across the country. BioFactors owns 35 proprietary strains in probiotics and 8 patents in nanotechnology.
