This donation includes 2.4 million Class B shares of Berkshire Hathaway shares. He has allocated 1.5 million shares to the Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation, named after his late wife. Additionally, 0.9 million shares were donated to three charities overseen by his children – The Sherwood Foundation, The Howard G. Equally distributed between the Buffett Foundation and the Novo Foundation. The chief executive of Berkshire Hathaway Inc. said in a Thanksgiving letter to shareholders that the general belief of my children and their father is that they do not need dynastic wealth. However, this is not accepted both legally and commonly in most parts of the world, including the United States. According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Warren Buffett is the ninth richest person in the world with a net worth of $120.8 billion, his wealth has increased by $13.3 billion this year. For the second year in a row, Buffett has made additional gifts to the family foundation during the Thanksgiving period.
