The death of two Home Guard jawans, firing on the SHO and injuring of dozens of policemen shows that apart from religious pilgrimage, police was the second biggest target of the rioters. In fact, due to the actions of the police in Mewat, which has become India’s second largest center in terms of cyber fraud, the fraud business of these people was getting destroyed. These people had been caught embezzling crores of rupees. Due to all this, resentment against the police was being seen in the villages here. These people got the opportunity on the day when the Vishwa Hindu Parishad yatra started. The rioters badly burnt the cyber police station in the guise of nuisance so that their records of fraud would be burnt. It is also being told that leaving other police stations, the rioters targeted only the cyber police station so that all the records including the FIR lodged against the villagers would be destroyed.

It is also being told that a cyber thug Saikul Khan had recently died in police custody, the villagers were agitated against the police, so as soon as they got a chance, they showed their anger. Regarding Saikul Khan, the villagers say that he was killed during torture in the police custody, while the police say that on July 22, Saikul had breathing problems and was brought back to the police station after being treated at the hospital. On July 23, Saikul was again taken to the hospital due to breathing problems, where he died during treatment.

Let us also tell you that training courses are also conducted in the villages of Mewat to prepare cyber thugs. It is being told that this course ranges from 50 thousand to one lakh rupees. The thugs are prepared after about seven days of intensive training. There are media reports that groomed swindlers are also given fake SIM cards and documents to open bank accounts. Among the courses offered here, the ‘Sextortion or Honeytrap’ course is said to be the most expensive. The duration of this course is also maximum i.e. three months. It is also said that after getting training, criminals work from farms because it is very difficult to track phones there.

Due to all this, the situation has become such that Mewat is also being called the capital of cyber crimes across the country. To trap people in honey trap, to trap people by offering work from home, to do online fraud in bank accounts, to trap people by giving advertisements of buying and selling of goods on OLX or any other similar website, through YouTube like Whether to grab people’s money by giving them offers of earning while sitting at home or to withdraw money by asking OTP… all such games run from Mewat only.

However, now the Haryana government is not in a mood to spare these economic criminals. Bulldozers have been started on slums in this area. It is being told that people from many parts of the country used to settle here and used to commit economic and other types of crimes.
