Imran Khan Arrest: In the Toshakhana case, the troubles of Pakistan’s former PM Imran Khan are increasing. The sword of arrest is hanging over them. At the same time, he has also received a setback from the court. The court has rejected the petition of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party chief Imran Khan. It is clear that the Islamabad court has refused to stay Imran’s arrest warrant.
Imran can be arrested anytime: After the dismissal of Imran Khan’s petition, Imran’s arrest is considered almost certain. On the previous day i.e. on Sunday, the police had reached Imran Khan’s residence to arrest him, but Imran Khan was not found in his room. It was being speculated that he had absconded amid the arrest. However, later he turned to the people.
Imran Khan’s lawyer gave this argument: It is worth mentioning that earlier Imran Khan’s lawyers Ali Bukhari, Kaiser Imam and Gauhar Ali Khan appeared in the District and Sessions Court, where Bukhari argued that his client (Imran Khan) has always obeyed the orders of the court. Imam argued that if Khan wanted to appear in the court on March 7, the Islamabad police could not arrest him. On this, the judge said that the PTI chief should approach the Islamabad High Court to get the warrant suspended.
Ban on live broadcast of Imran: Earlier, the live telecast of former PM Imran Khan has also been banned. The body entrusted with the responsibility of monitoring Pakistan’s electronic media on Sunday itself banned the telecast of Imran Khan’s live and recorded speeches on TV channels with immediate effect. Just a few hours before this, the sword of arrest was hanging on Khan in the Toshakhana case, although he was saved from it citing appearing in the court on March 7.
What is Toshakhana Case: Significantly, Imran Khan is accused of buying the gifts kept in Toshakhana at a low price and then earning profit by selling them. Imran is also accused of hiding information. Let me tell you, Toshakhana means the store where valuable gifts given by foreign officials or rulers to the officials or chiefs of the country are kept.
