According to a statement issued by the Commerce Ministry, Commerce Secretary Sunil Barthwal has invited Brazilian industries to be part of the growing supply chain. Commerce Secretary Sunil Barthwal, who is on a four-day visit to Brazil for the sixth meeting of the India-Brazil Trade Monitoring Mechanism (TMM), discussed ways to boost trade between the two countries.
According to the ministry, both sides held extensive discussions on matters related to bilateral trade and also prepared a blueprint to increase it. Barthwal was on a visit to Brazil from October 1 to 4. He was also accompanied by a delegation of 20 business leaders. During this, the Commerce Secretary also held meetings with representatives of Brazilian companies investing in India. They discussed new opportunities for trade and investment. It is noteworthy that India-Brazil bilateral trade has doubled to US $ 16 billion in the last two years.
