Kamran Yusuf, senior journalist of the Pakistani newspaper Express Tribune, says that Pakistan has given such indications that it can leave its 76-year-old obstinate policy towards India. He said that Arab countries can force Pakistan to do so, which are now preparing to invest billions of dollars inside Pakistan. Kamran said that India’s friendship with both Saudi Arabia and the UAE has grown stronger in recent years. Earlier both these countries used to help Pakistan on every front against India but now the situation has changed.
Kamran said quoting sources that Pakistan has become poor and its foreign friends have avoided giving loans to the country. Pakistan was getting loans from UAE and Saudi Arabia for years but now it has stopped. Both Saudi and UAE countries have clearly said that they will now buy the government properties of Pakistan and give money in return. UAE has bought stake in Karachi Port for 25 years and Saudi Arabia is going to invest $3 billion in setting up a refinery in Gwadar.
At the same time, Saudi Arabia has a plan to buy a stake in Pakistan’s Reco Dick mine. This whole deal is to be done by December which will be done by the caretaker government. Kamran told that with the investment of these billions of dollars, the influence of these two countries in Pakistan’s foreign policy will increase significantly. A large number of Indians work in UAE companies and now they will have to give visa to Pakistan under UAE pressure. Earlier, Pakistan has refrained from granting visa to any citizen of India in such cases due to security reasons. Kamran said that India’s friendship with Saudi Arabia and UAE has increased to such an extent that OIC meeting was not called even after several attempts by Pakistan.
UAE is investing in Kashmir. He told that there was a plan to start trade with India during Bajwa’s time but it could not be possible because of Imran Khan. UAE and Saudi Arabia want the relations between Pakistan and India to be normal. He said that as the investment of UAE and Saudi Arabia increases, so will the relations with India. Pakistan’s current Army Chief General Munir has also not taken any such step which could spoil the relations with India. Pakistan’s cricket team is also coming, which has been approved by the army. He said that General Bajwa’s plan to improve relations with India can now be implemented.
