The Prime Minister referred to the ancient links between the civilizations of India and Greece and praised the role of the Sikh Gurus in strengthening their ties. He said that his government has worked with dedication to celebrate events related to Sikhs.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said India has shown its potential to the world by hoisting the tricolor on the Moon and its science, technology and innovation is creating waves globally. Addressing the Indian diaspora in Greece, he also cited several developmental achievements made by his government in the last nine years and stressed that never before had so much investment been made in the infrastructure sector. He said that since 2014, more than 2.5 million kilometers of optical fiber cables have been laid in India, which is more than six times the distance between the Earth and the Moon.
He said, India has brought indigenous 5G technology to about 700 districts in record time. On hearing these words of the Prime Minister, a wave of enthusiasm ran in the audience present there. The world’s highest railway bridge, motorable road besides the largest cricket stadium and the tallest statue are now in India, he said. He said that top global bodies like World Bank and IMF are praising the Indian economy and major companies are vying with each other to invest in India.
He said that after Kovid-19, the role of the country in the world system is changing rapidly.
