During this visit, health, technology, renewable energy, education and defense… these five important areas will be discussed between America and India. The Defense Minister said these things while answering a question regarding the strengthening of relations with the US on behalf of India. His interview in this regard has been published in ‘News Week’ on Saturday. Asif said, ‘I think we have no problem with America increasing its partnership with India, if it does not harm Pakistan.’
‘We want to live in peace’
He said that Pakistan wants good relations with its neighbors and regional partners. He said, ‘We have a common border with China, we have a common border with Afghanistan, Iran, India. If the relationship is not good, we would like to improve our relationship with them. We want to live in peace. If there is no peace then we can never improve our economy.
‘India is a huge market’
Khwaja Asif said that India is a huge market of over 1.3 billion people. Everywhere in the world, other large economies want to partner with them. But Pakistan is not a very big economy. It is a weak economy. He said that Pakistan should not be pushed into a situation where they have to make some very difficult choices.
