India was not alone in opposing China’s BRI, this Muslim country also supported PM Modi

It is because of the BRI project that many countries of the world have become poor by getting trapped in China’s debt trap. India flatly refused to support this project. In the New Delhi Declaration issued at the end of the summit, India refused to sign the paragraph supporting the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). During the summit, Chinese President Xi Jinping mentioned his ambitious Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). But it could not get much attention. Despite keeping the matter of BRI on behalf of Jinping, India ignored it. But according to the news of South China Morning Post, apart from India, not much importance was given to Jinping’s talk from Iran as well.

India will not support

Jinping said during the summit that the BRI infrastructure project will facilitate regional cooperation, trade and investment. Along with this appealed for better coordination in BRI. The joint statement issued after this shows that India and Iran have not supported Jinping’s BRI policy. India once again refused to support China’s ambitious ‘Belt and Road’ project (BRI). With this, it became the only country in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) not to support the project. The declaration issued at the end of the SCO summit said that Russia, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan reiterated their support for the BRI.

What is BRI

Everyone knows about Dragon’s Belt and Road Initiative. Under which he is building CPEC. Through this project, China has made a plan to go to Europe via Afghanistan, Pakistan. Through BRI, China is giving loans to the poor countries of the world and then capturing their resources. Many countries from Africa to South America are badly trapped in its debt trap. India has always been openly objecting to China’s project. The reason for objection is that this corridor passes through Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) which India considers as its part.
