washington (Best Hindu News): There has been a stir in America regarding the eye drops of the Indian pharmaceutical company. According to the report, 3 people have died here and 8 had to lose their light due to its use. The US’s top medical watchdog has expressed the possibility of drug-resistant bacteria in this drop.
According to media reports, dozens of cases of infection have also been reported due to its use. This drug is manufactured by Chennai-based Global Pharma Healthcare under the brand name Azricare Artificial Tears.
The CDC has expressed concern that this drug-resistant bacteria found in eye drops imported from India may gain a foothold in the US. Experts of infectious diseases say that this strain has not been found in America before. In such a situation, it can be difficult to treat with the antibiotics available with the country.
It is known that Global Pharma Healthcare is located about 40 km south of Chennai. It had stopped production of eye drops meant for the US market in February itself. Also recalled all remaining lots of EzriCare Artificial Tears and Delsum Pharma Artificial Tears at the customer level.
