The ‘Sydney Morning Herald’ newspaper quoted police officers as saying Ahmed allegedly assaulted a 28-year-old cleaner at Sydney’s Auburn train station on Tuesday. Reports said Ahmed also tried to attack two police officers who were leaving the police station. It said that a police officer fired three shots, two of which hit Ahmed in the chest. According to reports, Ahmed was immediately treated by medical personnel and taken to a local hospital but was declared brought dead. It said police officers were probing whether Ahmed had any mental health issues.
