The Indians held placards that read “Khalistani are not Sikhs”, and “Canada stop supporting Khalistani Canadian terrorists”. In a video that has gone viral on social media, pro-Khalistani protesters can be seen disrespecting the tricolor, which has led to protests by NRI Indians. Indian expatriates said they were in support of the Indian consulate. He is raising his voice against the threats given to Indian diplomats by the Khalistanis.

India opposes opposition to Khalistan
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi opposed the rally. He said that freedom of expression should not be misused to propagate separatism and legitimize terrorism, as pro-Khalistan groups are running a campaign to incite violence against Indian diplomats and missions. He said that the security of Indian diplomats is a top priority for the government.
