Recently, a tableau depicting the assassination of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi has come to light in Brampton. How do you see this? In response to this, he said that whatever is happening in Canada is not good for that country as well. Sometimes Hindu temples are attacked in Canada, sometimes institutions related to India are targeted and sometimes slogans are raised in support of Khalistan and what has happened now cannot be tolerated at all. That’s why the Government of India has also lodged its objection with Canada regarding this matter in very harsh words.

Brig Shri DS Tripathi (Retd) said that India has targeted Canada for giving importance to separatists and extremists after visuals of the tableau depicting the assassination of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in Brampton surfaced on social media . He said External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has rightly said that Canada allowing anti-India elements to operate from its soil is not good not only for it but also for bilateral relations. Furthermore, Canadian High Commissioner to India Cameron McKay has also tweeted that glorification of violence or hatred has no place in Canada. He has said that I am shocked by the news of a program in Canada in which the assassination of late former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi was celebrated. There is no place in Canada for the glorification of violence or hatred.

He said that the Prime Minister of Canada is running a coalition government. The party he has got the support of is a party with the support of the extremists, so maybe Justin Trudeau has to tolerate the Khalistani elements due to the helplessness of the coalition government. But they should understand that it is not in their own interest either. As far as British Columbia is concerned, there is a majority of these extremists, that’s why most of the incidents also come from there.
