The personal reputation of Russian President Vladimir Putin is also at stake with the way Ukraine is now conducting the war. Because every attack or retaliation on Russia is a challenge to Putin’s power. Putin is understanding that America and NATO are attacking Russia by keeping a gun on Ukraine’s shoulder. Putin is understanding that if he loses this war, history will remember him as a defeated ruler. That’s why he is leaving no stone unturned to win this war. If Ukraine falls, Russia falls.

Brigadier Shri DS Tripathi (Retd) said that the way Ukraine was almost sitting quietly in the recent past and its President Volodymyr Zelensky was engaged in campaign to collect help through foreign tours and get his soldiers trained abroad. That Ukraine has made full preparations before the big counterattack on Russia. But the danger here is about the atomic bomb. The world is afraid that Putin may launch a nuclear attack to end the war in one go, so the UN nuclear chief has also appealed to Russia and Ukraine to ban attacks on nuclear plants.

He added that it is too early to expect a solution to the conflict between Ukraine and Russia, as the focus is currently on issues related to the grain corridor, nuclear issues and the exchange of prisoners of war. The way Russia is attacking Kiev is showing that Putin can go to any extent to save his reputation if Ukraine presents more challenge.
