Brigadier (Retd) Shri DS Tripathi said that now the fight in Pakistan is no longer political, but the army has also jumped into it. Not only the supporters of the parties of Imran Khan and Shehbaz Sharif are fighting each other over the government, but the army has also opened its front against Imran’s supporters.

This week in IndiaTheNews News Network’s special program Shaurya Path, we wanted to know from Brigadier (Retd) Mr. DS Tripathi, what is your reaction to the situation arising out of the arrest of Imran Khan in Pakistan? In response, he said that a special bench of the Islamabad High Court granted bail to former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan for two weeks in a corruption case. Apart from this, he has got bail in many cases but the way Pakistan government is adamant on keeping him inside jail shows that Pakistan is moving towards anarchy. Due to the Shahbaz Sharif government, the popularity of Imran Khan is also increasing in Pakistan. The arrest of Imran Khan by paramilitary Rangers triggered massive protests across Pakistan, leading to the deployment of the army in Islamabad as well as in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. Now Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Khan is calling Imran Khan and his party a ‘liar’ and accusing them of pushing the cash-starved country towards ‘destruction’.

The way people are fighting each other, houses of army officers are being looted and ransacked, malls and markets are being looted, opposition leaders are being arrested, it is all showing that Pakistan is now in a chaotic state. I have reached He said that the vandalism and arson of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s house in Pakistan also raises the question that when the Prime Minister’s house itself is not safe, then what will happen to the rest of the country? Amidst all this, countries around the world are keeping an eye on the situation in Pakistan. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres also called on authorities to respect due process and refrain from violence from all sides over the ongoing protests in the country following the arrest of former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan. It is also being told that in view of the deteriorating situation in Pakistan, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Taliban is planning to increase the number of terrorist attacks and capture the ruling establishment. In such a situation, the question arises that like the Taliban captured Afghanistan, will Taliban dominate the power of Pakistan in the same way?

Brigadier (Retd) Shri DS Tripathi said that on the other hand, in Pakistan, the rupee touched a record high of 300 per dollar against the US currency. This is the first time in the history of Pakistan that the local currency has reached such a low level against the US dollar. The rupee has hit an all-time low amid political unrest in cash-strapped Pakistan following the arrest of former Prime Minister Imran Khan. He said that amid the chaotic situation in the country, the currency market as well as the Karachi stock market also saw a fall. The Pakistan Forex Exchange Association said that this is the first time that the Pakistani currency has crossed Rs 300 per dollar. This shows how violent protests are having an adverse effect on the economy.
