Brigadier Shri DS Tripathi (Retd) said that India has set up an investigation on the allegations made by America because what is visible is not the policy of the Indian Government. He said that the case of America and Canada is completely different.
This week in IndiaTheNews News Network’s special program Shaurya Path, we wanted to know from Brigadier Shri DS Tripathi ji (Retd) that America has alleged that there was a conspiracy to murder Khalistani leader Gurpatwant Singh Pannu Pannu in which an Indian officer was involved. India has set up an investigation in this regard. America had also sent two of its officers to Delhi to put pressure on India. Meanwhile, there is news that the Prime Minister of Canada has said that when I was saying the same thing, no one was agreeing to it. How do you see all this? In response to this he said that the biggest question is why America is so worried about Pannu? He said that India had declared Pannu a terrorist in the year 2020 itself and had made many allegations against him about which America was aware. He said that Pannu, sitting in America, keeps threatening the Indian government, sometimes he threatens Air India, sometimes he threatens Indian officials in Canada and sometimes he threatens other Indians abroad, but America keeps watching all this. . He said that on one hand America talks about fighting against terrorism and separatism and on the other hand it gives shelter to terrorists and separatists, this is clear hypocrisy. He said that if Pannu threatens the Indian government, will the Indian government remain silent? He said that if Pannu had been threatening America like this while living in India, what would America have done? What would American security agencies do?
Brigadier Shri DS Tripathi (Retd) said that India has set up an investigation on the allegations made by America because what is visible is not the policy of the Indian Government. He said that the case of America and Canada is completely different because the case raised by America has presented some evidence, India has expressed concern about it and has set up an investigation and the evidence of the case raised by Canada has accused India many times. Demands were made but Canada did not provide any information. He said that the Prime Minister of Canada wants to take advantage of the opportunity to make his lies the truth but he will not get any success in this. He said that whether it is Pannu or Hardeep Singh Nijjar, all of them have rivalry with many other separatist groups. He said that in the mutual rivalry between terrorist and separatist groups, if one harms the other, then how can India be questioned in this?
Brigadier Shri DS Tripathi (Retd) said that the main issue with Canada is the activities of anti-India elements in that country. He said that India has always said that Canada has continuously given space to anti-India extremists and violence and this is the main issue. Our diplomatic representatives in Canada have borne the brunt of this. He said that we expect the Government of Canada to abide by its commitments under the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations. We have also seen interference by Canadian diplomats in our internal affairs. “Obviously this is unacceptable,” he said.
Brigadier Shri DS Tripathi (Retd) said that on America’s allegation, India has stressed that a high-level committee will investigate all aspects of the matter. He said the Indian Foreign Ministry spokesperson has said that the US side has shared some information regarding the nexus between organized criminals, illegal arms holders and terrorists. India takes such information seriously as it is also an encroachment on our national interests and the concerned departments are looking into the issue.
