Introduction of new facilities in e-labor portal, know how to avail benefits

E-Shram Portal: Union Labor and Employment Minister Bhupendra Yadav on Monday launched new facilities in the E-Shram Portal to simplify the registration of workers in the unorganized sector and increase utility. The new features added to the e-Labour portal will enhance its utility and make registration easier for unorganized sector workers.

Employees registered on e-Shram can now connect with employment opportunities, skilling, apprenticeship, pension scheme, digital skilling and schemes of states through e-Shram portal.
Facility to enter the details of the family of migrant workers has also been added in the portal. This facility will help in providing child education and women centric schemes for migrant workers who have migrated with their families.
– Further, a new feature has also been added regarding sharing of data of registration construction workers on e-Shram Portal with the concerned Building and Other Construction Workers’ (BOCW) Welfare Board, thereby e-Shram Construction with the concerned BOCW Board Registration of workers must be ensured and they can get access to schemes of their own choice.
Union minister also launched data sharing portal
Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav also formally launched the Data Sharing Portal (DSP) to share e-labour data with state and union territory governments. This data sharing portal will allow sharing of e-Labour beneficiaries data with respective States and Union Territories in a secure manner for targeted implementation of social security and welfare schemes for unorganized workers registered on e-Labour. Let us tell that recently the Ministry has started measuring the data of various schemes with e-Labour data to identify the workers who have registered for e-Labour, who have not yet received the benefits of these schemes. Such data is also being shared with the states and union territories. On the basis of this, those unorganized workers who have not yet received the benefits of various schemes will be identified and they can be given the benefits of these schemes on priority basis.
