Iran accuses Israel of ‘conspiracy’ to cause gas pipeline explosion

Iran’s oil minister on Wednesday alleged that an Israeli attack that caused several explosions on an Iranian natural gas pipeline last week was a conspiracy. Tehran’s new allegations have further increased the tension prevailing in West Asia due to the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas.
The accusations by Iran’s Oil Minister Javad Oji come as Israel has been blamed for a series of attacks targeting Tehran’s nuclear program. “The explosion of the gas pipeline was an Israeli conspiracy,” the minister claimed, according to state news agency IRNA.
The enemy’s intention was to disrupt gas service in the provinces and cause distress to the people.” However, the minister did not provide any evidence to support his claims. There has been no response from Israel regarding the allegations.
The blasts on February 14 targeted a natural gas pipeline running from Iran’s western Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari provinces north to Caspian Sea cities.
