why are there demonstrations
Angered by this whole attitude, the Iranian government has informed the organizers that now their foreign minister will not come to India for the Raisina Dialogue. Protests have been going on in Iran since September. These demonstrations began when 22-year-old Masha Amin died in police custody. Amini challenged the Iranian authorities on the hijab. After Masha’s death, the police were also accused of torturing her.
