Railway Ticket Cancellation Rules:

2. Sleeper Class Ticket Cancellation: A charge of Rs 120 per passenger will be levied on cancellation of sleeper class ticket.

3. AC Class Ticket Cancellation Charges:

  • Third AC coach: Rs 180

  • Second Class: Rs 200

  • First AC: Rs 240

Note that these charges will be deducted from the entire ticket amount and you will get a refund of the remaining amount. Apart from this, it is mandatory to completely follow the terms and conditions of Railways, so that your cancellation process remains correct and easy.

GST charge and refund rules

  • GST Charge: GST charge is applicable on AC coach tickets, which is determined by the Railways. There is no GST charge on any sleeper class ticket.

  • Refund Rules: Once the ticket is confirmed, it is necessary to follow the refund rules in case of ticket cancellation.

  • Refund amount: If the ticket is canceled between 48 hours to 12 hours of the scheduled time, 25% of the refund amount will be deducted.

  • Maximum time limit for ticket cancellation: After ticket confirmation, the time limit for ticket cancellation is 12 hours. There is no refund on cancellation after this time limit.

  • Cancellation before 4 hours of departure time: Only half the amount is refunded if the ticket is canceled 4 hours before departure time.

  • RAC and Waiting List Ticket Cancellation: If RAC and Waiting List ticket is canceled 30 minutes before the departure time, a refund is given.
