Israel fights for survival

When Hamas attacked Israel on October 7 and attacked unarmed people, including elderly people, women and children, who were celebrating the festival and took hundreds of them captive, then the terrorists associated with Hamas and their leaders were probably killed by Israel. The reaction being shown today would be unimaginable. Hamas must have thought that after their attack, Israel will come under panic and pressure and Islamic countries can come in support of Hamas and attack Israel, etc.

The situation after a month of war is that most of the prominent leaders of Hamas have been killed by the Israeli army. The Israeli army has succeeded in sieging and isolating the Gaza Strip and at any time Israel can declare its complete control over the Gaza Strip.

A ceasefire has been demanded by many countries of the world, especially Islamic countries, including the United Nations and America, but Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says that the ceasefire can happen only after the elimination of Hamas and the release of Israeli hostages.

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu has said in an interview that after the ground operations eliminate Hamas and the end of the war, Israel can assume the responsibility of security in Gaza indefinitely to prevent future attacks. Netanyahu said that Israel will assume responsibility for the security of Gaza indefinitely, because we have seen what happens when we don’t have it. When we do not have security responsibility, we face such huge explosions of terror from Hamas that we cannot even imagine. The most intense reaction to this statement of PM Netanyahu has come from America. The White House has told Israel that recapturing Gaza would not be the right step. America has been trying for a ceasefire for several days.

The situation so far is that more than 1400 Israeli citizens were killed in the Hamas attack on October 7, while more than 244 people were taken hostage by Hamas, including many foreign citizens. After this attack, America is not only providing military help to Israel but is also holding talks with many countries for the safe release of the hostages. In the war that has been going on for the last one month, more than 10 thousand people have died and more than 25 thousand people have been injured in Gaza due to Israeli air strikes. The Health Ministry of Hamas-led Gaza says that more than 4 thousand children are among the dead. At the same time, more than 11 lakh people have been sent from the northern part of Gaza to South Gaza.

The terrorist organization ‘Sons of Abu Jandal’, which carried out the deadly attack on Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, has said that President Mahmoud Abbas did not declare war against Israel, that is why he was attacked. After the Balfour Declaration in 1917, the establishment of the Israeli state was announced, from then till now there has been a period of violence and hatred against Israel which even today seems to be increasing instead of stopping. Thousands of innocent people have died and lakhs have been rendered homeless. Today the world is cursing Israel for all this but the truth is that Hamas alone is responsible for this situation that has arisen, if it had not attacked then this war would not have started.
A ceasefire is still possible if Hamas releases the hostages unconditionally. The countries of the world which are demanding a ceasefire can only be asked whether they can guarantee Israel that in the future, Hamas or any other terrorist organization will not carry out an attack on Israel like the one on October 7?

Israel is today fighting for its existence, of course the fight will end only through dialogue. An environment for dialogue will be created only when people from both sides respect each other’s feelings. This war can be stopped only by recognizing both Israel and Palestine. Are Islamic countries ready to recognize Israel, this is the question that demands answer.
