Gaza (Uttam Hindu News): Israel has launched new airstrikes on various areas of the war-torn Gaza Strip, resulting in dozens of deaths and injuries, the Hamas-run health ministry said. Rescue workers and medics said the Israeli airstrikes “targeted a residential building in the Jabaliya camp in the northern Strip,” Xinhua news agency reported. “37 people were killed in a few hours.”

Additionally, the Palestinian Civil Defense Service said several people were killed and wounded in strikes by Israeli warplanes on Yaffa Street, east of Gaza City.
Earlier in the day, Civil Protection Service spokesman Mahmoud Bassal said 84 of the dead were taken to Gaza’s al-Muamalat hospital following Israeli airstrikes in recent hours. Ismail al-Thawabateh, director of the government’s media office, said more than 700 Palestinians had been killed in Gaza in the past 24 hours.
