Gaza (Uttam Hindu News): The Hamas-run government in Gaza has said Israeli forces have killed at least 350 Palestinians in the past 48 hours in Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip. The statement issued on Sunday said medical teams were unable to reach many of the bodies scattered on the streets. The statement said local residents had to bury the dead in the courtyard of the city’s Nasir Hospital as they could not take them to the Khan Younis cemetery.
Meanwhile, the Hamas-run health ministry said on Sunday that Nasser Hospital was overflowing with medical waste due to the blockade by the Israeli military. The ministry said at least 7,000 injured and sick people in the enclave are in urgent need of life-saving treatment.
The Palestine Red Crescent Society warned in a statement about a shortage of oxygen supplies at Al-Amal hospital in Khan Younis amid the ongoing siege by Israeli forces, making it difficult for medical teams at the hospital to carry out surgical operations. The deadly months-long conflict between Israel and Hamas has killed 26,422 Palestinians in Gaza, while the number of injured has risen to 65,087, according to the Hamas-run health ministry.
