It has expressed suspicion that the explosion that took place near the Israeli Embassy in New Delhi on Tuesday ‘could be a terrorist attack.’ This advisory has been shared on the website of the Prime Minister of Israel.
The advisory said that an explosion took place near the Israeli Embassy in Chanakyapuri, New Delhi on Tuesday evening and a letter addressed to the Israeli Ambassador in ‘abusive language’ was recovered from the spot. Officials said there were no casualties in the incident.
Israel’s National Security Council has advised its citizens living in India to avoid going to crowded places like malls and markets. It has also been advised not to visit places identified as Jewish and Israeli. Asked to be cautious in public places like hotels and pubs etc. It says refrain from displaying Israeli symbols in public. Avoid participating in big events. Also do not upload travel photos along with the itinerary on social media.
