It is not unreasonable to expect China from global security initiative

In April 2022, when Chinese President Xi Jinping gave his views on the global security initiative, it was not given serious attention in many countries of the world. It was believed that this proposal of President Xi Chinfing would be drowned in the dust of time. But the Chinese government kept working in this direction. As a result of this, when the whole world was celebrating Mother Language Day, the Chinese government released the “Concept Paper of the Global Security Initiative” on 21 February.

In the global security initiative, the Chinese government has presented a road map for cooperation to the world, under which global cooperation has been talked about twenty key areas and points. In terms of humanity, security is the need of every person and there should be uniformity at the global level. Perhaps the Chinese government is moving forward on such thinking. Perhaps this is the reason why in the global security initiative, China has expected the world to move forward on the concept of comprehensive, but sustainable security in a general way. The special thing about this initiative is that it also talks about respecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of every country at the global level.

In view of the global challenges, it is often said that the United Nations has failed to fulfill the objectives of its formation. China’s global security initiative appeals to all countries in the world to adhere to the purposes and principles of the United Nations. Perhaps China feels that only faithful adherence to the objectives of the United Nations can guarantee peace and security in the world. When the objectives of the United Nations are followed, when human security is guaranteed at the global level, then there will be no need for war. Perhaps this is the reason why in this initiative, China has also appealed to the world to resolve differences and disputes among countries through peaceful means. Along with this, the Chinese government has also emphasized on maintaining security in traditional and non-traditional areas in this initiative. Needless to say that all these proposals are more favorable from the point of view of humanity.

Since the initiative of President Xi Jinping, it has got the support of about 80 countries of the world. It is not unreasonable for China to expect that it will get the support of other countries. Because it is a matter related to global security and cooperation as well as a sense of cooperation. As the world’s focus today is on security, climate change and saving humanity, it is natural to expect global support for the Chinese government for this initiative.
