The policemen saved their lives by running away. After this the mob looted several shops. The miscreants torched more than 30 vehicles. Over 50 private and government vehicles were damaged. VHP’s Central Joint General Secretary Surendra Jain said that the bullet aimed at him passed through his head, in which he narrowly escaped, but his car was torched by the miscreants. He said that despite the information there was no preparation of the police. He said they were safe in the temple, but were taken out of the temple and made to stand in the fields below the mountain while bullets were fired from above.
