Rajamouli and music composer MM Keeravani are over the moon after meeting legendary Hollywood director James Cameron, who not only praised their film ‘RRR’ but also revealed that he has seen the film twice. The film ‘RRR’ has been nominated in various categories at several international awards and Rajamouli and Keeravani are in the US to attend the functions.
‘RRR’ continues its winning streak on the world stage by winning the Best Foreign Film and Best Lyrics award for ‘Naatu Naatu’ at the ‘Critics’ Choice Awards’ (CCA). Earlier, ‘Naatu Naatu’ was also awarded in the Best Song category at the Golden Globe Awards. Rajamouli tweeted, “The great director James Cameron has seen ‘RRR’…he liked the film so much that he not only asked his wife Suzy to watch it, but also watched the film again with her himself.” Sir, I can’t believe you talked to us for the whole 10 minutes on our film. As you said, I am in seventh heaven. Thanks.”
Cameron is best known for directing hits such as ‘The Terminator’, ‘Aliens’, ‘Titanic’ and ‘Avatar’. Composer Keeravani said, “The great James Cameron watched ‘RRR’ twice and gave his opinion on my music. Very excited.. He appreciated how the music of ‘RRR’ is different from typical western films. It is a great honor for my work.” RRR won Best Film, Best Director (Rajamouli), Best Foreign Film, Best Visual Effects (V Srinivas Mohan) and Best Lyrics (Naatu Naatu) at the Critics’ Choice Awards. was named in ‘RRR’ is a fictional story of Indian revolutionaries. Ram Charan and Junior NTR are in lead roles in the film. The film is set in the 1920s when India was under British rule. The film also stars Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgan.
