Japan has become the fifth successful country in the world to reach the surface of the Moon. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday congratulated his Japanese counterpart Fumio Kishida and the Japanese Space Agency on this achievement. Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote on social media, congratulating Prime Minister Kishida and every member of JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency) on Japan’s first ‘soft landing’ on the Moon. India is keen on cooperation in the field of space between ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation) and JAXA.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that Japan has become the fifth country in the world to reach the moon. The Japanese spacecraft landed on the surface of the Moon in the early hours of Saturday local time. Japanese officials said they were still trying to determine whether the spacecraft made a precise ‘landing’. He said that a clear analysis about the ‘landing’ of the unmanned spacecraft may take some more time. Last year, India became the fourth country in the world to make a successful ‘soft landing’ on the Moon.

Let us tell you that on Saturday itself, Japan’s Chandrayaan Smart Lander for Investigating the Moon had landed on the lunar surface. Chandrayaan’s landing on the surface has been successful. Japan has become the fifth country in the world to achieve this feat. Before this, Russia, America, China and India have achieved this feat. The purpose of this Chandrayaan of Japan is to investigate the Shioli Crater of the Moon. Shioli Crater is located in the Sea of ​​Nectar part of the Moon. Chandrayaan will investigate how the Moon was formed. Let us tell you that this Japanese spacecraft was sent to the moon four months ago i.e. on 7th September, which has now reached there.
