Javed Akhtar turns 79

Mumbai (Uttam Hindu News): Bollywood Renowned poet and lyricist Javed Akhtar turned 79 today. On January 17, 1945, when a boy was born to poet-lyricist John Nisar Akhtar, he was named ‘Jadu’. This name has been taken from a line from a couplet by John Nisar Akhtar ‘Lamba Lamba Kisi Jadoo Ka Fasana Hoga’. Later, Jaan Nisar’s son Jadoo became famous in the film industry by the name of ‘Javed Akhtar’. Javed Akhtar had a deep relationship with poetry since childhood. Poetry gatherings were organized at his house, which he used to listen to with great interest. He had seen the ups and downs of life very closely, hence the entanglement of life can be felt very strongly in his poetry. The specialty of Javed Akhtar’s songs has been that he explains his point to others very easily. Shortly after his birth his family moved to Lucknow.

He completed his primary education from Lucknow. After staying there for some time, he came to Aligarh where he started living with his aunt. Javed Akhtar completed his matriculation from Aligarh Muslim University. After this, he completed his graduation from Safia College, Bhopal, but after a few days, he did not feel like there and he came to Mumbai in the year 1964 to give a new shape to his dreams. On reaching Mumbai, Javed Akhtar had to face many difficulties. Had to face. For a few days in Mumbai, he started writing dialogues in films at a salary of just Rs 100.

During this period, he wrote dialogues for many films but none of these films were successful at the box office. In Mumbai, Javed Akhtar met Salim Khan who wanted to make his mark as a dialogue writer in the film industry. After this he and Salim Khan started working jointly. After the success of the film ‘Andaz’ released in 1970, Javed Akhtar was successful in making his mark in the film industry as a dialogue writer to some extent.
