Ranchi, Sunil Chaudhary: MSME Promotion Policy 2023 has been implemented in Jharkhand. The state government has issued its gazette notification. Many relaxation provisions have been made in the new policy. The government will give subsidy up to Rs 15 crore to MSME industries. It has been said in the policy that at present there are 2.77 lakh MSME industries in Jharkhand.

MSME Directorate and District MSME Center will be built.

It is written in the policy proposal that a separate directorate will be formed for MSMEs and District MSME (DMC) centers will also be opened in all the districts. MSME Directorate will provide full assistance to the entrepreneurs setting up their first industry. The directorate will provide guidance to DMC and will also monitor. Besides, MSME schemes and programs of Jharkhand and Central Government will be implemented in the state. Will work to promote national and international trade. MSME will constitute necessary corporation, board or authority of the Directorate. Will provide subsidy and other assistance. On the other hand, DMC will help entrepreneurs to take benefits of central and state schemes. Will help in their registration and single window clearance. It will remove the technical problems faced by entrepreneurs in setting up industries. Will help in the expansion of production and service units in rural and urban areas. Will organize workshops and training regularly. Will cooperate in setting up MSME clusters.

Discount on taking products abroad

On participating in any exhibition to sell its products abroad, the government will provide an assistance of Rs 4 lakh for an exhibition and Rs 50 thousand for an air fair.

Provision of subsidy up to Rs 10 crore

Provision for comprehensive project investment subsidy has been made in Jharkhand MSME Promotion Policy 2023. Till this, 40 percent subsidy of fixed capital investment will be given to micro enterprises, 35 percent subsidy to small enterprises and 30 percent subsidy to medium enterprises. Which will be up to a maximum of Rs 15 crore. Additional subsidy of five percent will be given to ST, SC, women and disabled entrepreneurs. Besides, interest subsidy ranging from Rs 25 lakh to Rs 2 crore will also be given. 100% exemption will also be given in stamp duty and registration. The government will also provide assistance up to Rs 25 lakh in quality certification. A grant of up to Rs 25 lakh will also be given for patenting.

Now who will come under the ambit of MSME?

MSME is divided into three categories. Plants costing up to Rs 1 crore will be called micro enterprises. Plants costing up to Rs 10 crore will be called small enterprises. Whereas plants with a cost of Rs 50 crore and a maximum turnover of Rs 250 crore will be called medium enterprises.
