Sources say that the discontent in the army is expected to continue till General Hameed is court martialed and punished.

In his statement, DG ISPR refuted the claims of Khan and his supporters that the May 9 incident was a ‘false flag operation’ by the army to target PTI and its leader. Major General Chaudhary said that ‘nothing can be more shameful than holding the army and agencies responsible for the incident of May 9’. He asked, ‘Did the army plot against him or had the army already deployed its agents? Have we burnt the memorials of our martyrs?’
