Kamboj strongly responded to Pakistan’s comments during the UN Security Council’s discussion on ‘Maintaining International Peace and Security: Effective Multilateralism while Upholding the Principles of the Charter of the United Nations’. On August 5, 2019, the Government of India revoked most of the provisions of Article 370 of the Constitution and withdrew the special status of Jammu and Kashmir. Since then the tension between India and Pakistan has increased.

India has advised to stop propaganda
Reacting strongly to India’s decision, Pakistan limited diplomatic relations with it and expelled the Indian envoy. India has clearly told the international community that the abrogation of Article 370 is its internal matter. He also advised Pakistan to accept the reality and stop anti-India propaganda. India conveyed to Pakistan that it wished to have normal neighborly relations with it in an environment free from terrorism, hostility and violence.
