Paramjit Singh Panjwad, chief of the terrorist organization Khalistan Commando Force, has been murdered in Lahore. Paramjit Singh Panjwar alias Malik Sardar Singh was murdered near his house at Sunflower Society, Johar Town at around 6 am on Saturday. His gunman was injured in the firing. Paramjit, involved in drug and arms smuggling through drones in Indian Punjab, was born in Panjwar village near Tarn Taran. He joined KCF in 1986 after being radicalized by his cousin Labh Singh, prior to which he was working in a Central Cooperative Bank in Sohal.
After the elimination of Labh Singh at the hands of Indian security forces, Panjwar took over the command of the KCF in the 1990s and fled to Pakistan. Top of the list of most wanted terrorists harbored by Pakistan, Panjwar kept KCF alive by raising funds through cross-border arms smuggling and heroin smuggling. Despite denials by the Government of Pakistan, Panjwar remained in Lahore, while his wife and children moved to Germany.
